building a pop-up roof, that long rectangle will be a window and bring in a gang of big blue sky

and it'll have a flat lower section in front of it. weee!

gettin' down to the nitty gritty

framed in the door, gotta' take a trip into town to pick up some 3/4 inch screws and hinges. wonder where I can find a horseshoe.

new wall, new window. mikey was up here this morning and said all the weird angles make him dizzy. just gotta' change your perspective, maaaaan.

and here's the most important view of all, lying on your back looking straight up from the deck. speaking of views, I've got an idea I'm pretty excited about, but won't reveal until I'm sure it's doable. lets just say it'll bring some blue into the shack.
